The St. John's are enthusiastic supporters of Faith In Action of Upper Pinellas, located in Dunedin. Carmen Wilson first met them three (3) years ago at the Union Academy Family Center in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where she is an IRS certified and trained tax preparer and site coordinator - she prepared their taxes then and is still doing it.
 
The photo was taken in Washington, DC in 1953, when Horace (Ed) St. John returned from Korea. He had flown in from California and Faye met him for the first time in fourteen (14) months - what a HAPPY REUNION !!
 
Ed first met Faye fifty-nine (59) years ago in line, in the cafeteria of Murphy's Department store in Richmond, Virginia.  This is where they both worked; she sold flowers and paint, he was a stock man.

Faith in Action of Upper Pinellas is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization that exists to enhance the quality of life and promote the health and well-being of older adults and persons with disabilities enabling them to remain independent in their own homes.

Faith in Action of Upper Pinellas is a coalition of neighbors helping neighbors. We work with a community of trained volunteers to provide transportation, in-home services, respite care and home visits to elderly and persons with disabilities. Our services are provided without charge regardless of age, income, race, religion, nationality, language, sex, sexual preference, or physical handicap. FIAUP is part of the nationwide program "Faith in Action" of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
